Which elimination periods can I choose from?
We am at providing a customised absence insurance to each and every one of our clients. We will decide in joint consultation what the most appropriate elimination period is. We offer the following elimination periods:
Are the pre-existing and the run-off risk covered by the policy?
The pre-existing risk cannot be insured. The run-off risk can; the run-off risk is covered with the absence insurers that we work with.
Is death also covered by the absence insurance?
One month of continued payment of wages is standard. Depending on the insurer, there may be an extended arrangement of up to 2 months if a collective agreement applies.
What is the notice period with my current absence insurance?
Most policies have a one month notice period after the end of the first contract.
Do I have to take out the insurance as per the first day of the next month?
That is not necessary, the insurance can become effective on any date that you want. At the earliest, the insurance can commence one working day after receipt of all required documents.
I do not yet have a payroll number and I want the absence insurance to already commence. Is that possible?
We understand that in such a case you want the insurance to become effective as per the date of employment of the first employee. It usually takes five working days for the Dutch Tax Authority to send the payroll number. We can commence the insurance but only provided that you inform us as soon as possible of the payroll number.
